Choosing a lodge is a personal decision. We welcome an informal conversation about your interests, your questions and the practicalities of becoming involved.
New to Freemasonry?
Our membership information welcomes men aged 18 or over, living in the UK, who believe in a Supreme Being. Members come from different backgrounds and faiths.
We will explain the process and help you consider whether the lodge is a good fit for you.
Already a Freemason?
We welcome enquiries from Brethren interested in joining, visiting a meeting or taking part in our Masonic learning programme. Please tell us a little about your current lodge and interests.
What is the time commitment?
We meet four times a year, usually from around 4.30pm to 9.30pm including dinner. Lodge of Instruction generally meets on Sunday mornings from late July or early August to mid-April, usually 10.15am–12.15pm.
Membership should fit comfortably alongside family and work. The lodge encourages prospective members to consider a commitment of at least three years.
What does membership cost?
The existing lodge membership guide gives an indicative minimum of £550 per year covering subscriptions, dining and meeting attendance. Initiation and registration fees also apply.
